What a great idea to get to know your neighbours and secure a happy/loving relat...ionship with them. If everyone grew a garden and shared portions of it with other people (maybe some individuals know how to grow certain types of vegetables/fruit better than others), then our dependency on supermarkets would be decreased, and we would also save a lot of money!

A couple of our neighbours and myself do a similar trade-off with vegetables!

What do you think of this idea?

Our intestinal tract is a fragile eco system and if not supported with proper nutrition and care can go haywire. Probiotic foods like yogurt, fermented foods such as sauerkraut and if needed probiotic supplements are important to keep proper balance.

Note: stay away from yogurts with fruit and sugar in it go for an organic brand that is plain in flavor and add your own fruit just before eating or best yet make your own..also in the picture be aware papaya is often GMO...

Health benefits of figs

Fig fruit is low in calories. 100g fresh fruits provide only 74 calories. However they contain health benefiting soluble dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins and pigment anti-oxidants that contribute immensely for...optimum health and wellness.

Dried figs are excellent source of minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. In fact dried fruits are concentrated sources of energy.

This low-cost vertical aquaponic system can grow leafy greens, herbs and raise fish for a small family year round, and it fits in a 5' by 3' space. Sean Brady, the aquaponics projects coordinator at the Center for Sustainable Aquaponics and Nourish the Planet in Loveland, Colo., showed us how to build a system from scrap he found around the greenhouse. There is a version of this how-to guide at engineeringforchange.org.
