Do you like to read? What kinds of books do you like to read? Have you ever been part of a book club?

I have never been a part of a book club but I do love to read. I have like 10 of Sylvia Browne's books- I love reading them - I think she is a fantastic writer and I love reading her viewpoint! Right now I'm reading (And re-reading) The Monegan Method to Hypnobirthing in preperation for my water birth in January!

Mary Higgins Clarke is pretty good but Dean Koontz is SOOO much better in my opinion.

I love to read, but I hardly find time. I like mysteries and suspense novels, but I will pretty much read almost anything.

I just finished The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. If you have not read this book, you should. It is very good.

I am reading a few books on eco-friendly living right now (Ed Begley, Alan Greene, MD). I am also reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I really like her and have never read a book by here that I didn't like.

My mom is going to give me The Twilight books when I go to her house on Thurs. I wasn't going to read them, but I have heard such great things about them I decided it was time.

I have so many books I want to read, but I just don't have any time to do it. Perhaps if I spent less time on here, I would! LOL!

I love reading a good mystery, thriller or vampire book. I have never been a part of a book club because I have neve found one that likes the same author as me.

I LOVED the Twilight SERIES..WAY better than the movies...but isn't that usually the case..i also read The House of Night series...good as well (though it was for tweens/teenagers..it was still pretty good) I have also heard that a Modern Faerie Tale is pretty good as well (though i think it is a series ..but not sure if that is the first book or not)..I am excited that Dean Koontz's new book comes out on the 24th (is that today?..lol) it's called Breathless...i am telling hubby to get it for me for christmas...

I have heard Wonderful things about Jody Picolet (sp?) i REALLY want to read "my sister's keeper"...i also am toying with the idea to see the movie...but am afraid it will ruin the book for me...

I belong to a Book Club but its just a part of my Moms Club group.  We read The Last Lecture  and My Sister's Keeper.  Definitely do NOT see My Sisters Keeper before reading the book.  From what I've heard, they completely changed the ending for the movie.  You are much better off reading the book first.

I liked the Twilight series.  Wouldn't say I LOVED it but it was a good read.  Thanks to my 15 year old daughter I'm also getting to see the movies, at MIDNIGHT, the day they come out.  I could probably live without that but, what's a mom to do?  I am currently re-reading The House of Night series since I only read up to 4 before and now 5 and 6 are available (and I'm waiting on delivery now).  I like that series a lot.  These were also recommended to me by my 15 year old daughter. :-)  She loves that we're reading the same stuff.  I also like the Sookie Stackhouse series (True Blood).  A more adult vampire series but not completely inappropriate for a teenager (depending on your standards).

Dean Koontz is one of my favorites and I've read everything of his that is available.  Mary Higgins Clark is pretty good - similar to Koontz but less supernatural stuff.

I love Science Fiction/Fantasy - Mercedes Lackey, Terry Goodkind are my favorites there.

Did anyone read "the kite runner" ? It was a fabulos book. It was highly emotional at parts and hard to read but I did enjoy that book. There is supposed to be another by the author.. I'm not sure if its a sequel per say.. I haven't gotten to read it yet though.

I read this. I love how Khaled Hosseini writes. I also read the second book A Thousand Splendid Suns. Not as good as the first, but I really liked it. If you have not read it, do so.
