We just got reassessed to it will go down - but last year we paid almost $11K

Mine at this very moment are at $5,250 but are about to go up. We have been assessed and reassessed and assessed again. Many of us are fighting it since mine will go up to around $5800.
Which is absolutely ridiculous for a small house in a depressed area. How can the value of your house go up when I have to sell it for less than it was worth a year or two ago? Im so tired of NJ...pay the highest this and that for what?!??!
