Do NOT go to Larchmont Associates for an ultrasound!!!
This is my 5th pregnancy, and I've always had great ultrasound experiences, wherever I went, so when I had to pick a place for my first trimester ultrasound, I just picked the one that was close and could fit us in today, because my husband was off work. Big mistake.
Of course, I was instructed to arrive with a full bladder, and then left in the waiting room for more than a half hour, because they were PACKED. Apparently, they overbook & rush people through: all about the mighty dollar. I was honestly terrified I was going to pee in the waiting room.
THEN...THEY WON'T LET MY HUSBAND IN THE ROOM FOR THE ULTRASOUND!!! They were tricky about it, stating that they would take me back first, and then bring him back. I was thinking they'd ask a few questions, then bring him back...nope. They did the entire thing, all measurements, and then brought him back, just to hand him the pictures.
As if that wasn't bad enough, I was told to reach my right arm under the blanket & insert the probe for the trams vaginal ultrasound myself "just like a tampon."
Yes- that's right- insert it myself. Wtf?!?!?!
They turned what should have been fun and exciting for my husband and I into a nightmare. It was the most horrible experience.
Don't go there. There are sooooo many better options.
Not only will I not ever return, my doctor wil no longer be offering them as an option to his patients.

Never heard of them and sorry you had a bad experince with them. I go to Garden State and they are wonderful.

I've used the one in Willingboro and the wait was painful. Who do you use for an OB-GYN?

Painful- yes, and anxiety inducing. My dr is John Litz. Just had my 1st visit with him & I liked him & LOVED the girls there, esp Jean!!!

The insert the probe thing is for your comfort. I've had my OB ask me to do it myself. We also offer to allow our patients to do that as well.

The wait sucks and not letting your hubby in was wrong.

I'm sorry you didn't like your experience. I've never heard of this place but can say any Dr office I go to I always wait, and I've been to places that don't have the husband go back with you. It's something to be sure to ask before going. As far as inserting yourself, any transvaginal US the tech will have you reach under and guide it in yourself that is the procedure. I'm sorry you were not happy there.
