I was wondering how many mom's in this group love photography and live near Manhattan. I have been searching for mom's who like to go into the city and take pics. Photography is my hobby...it soothes the beast.lol! City life can be hectic and so I use photography as a de-stresser :O) I have a Nikon dsrl camera that I got in January and am still learning how to use it. I photograph pretty much anything but especially love portraits.

I'm not great at it but i have a Panasonic Lumix , I take picture s of Family gatherings, My cats and rainbows, when i can find them. I don't get to the city often. I did spend a weekend there in July with a bus tour, Got lots of pictures then.

I have been discovering that I really love photography too!  I'm definitely just starting out. LOL  I just shoot nature pic's atm around our property, but I really enjoy it.  I think I would like to expand into more of a studio aspect, but just can't afford it atm.  But I will be looking into it in the future.!  Here is a couple I have taken.

Not great I know, just took them with my little digital camera.  But I had so much fun going out and taking them!  I hope soon to get a new camera and start using my daughters as my testers for headshots.  Unfortunately, I don't live close to Manhatten.

I love photography, but I don't think I am any good at it actually. I have a small Nikon digita camera. And I live relatively close to Manhattan.

Thank you for responding to me...I love to meet mom's who love to take pics whether professionally or for fun. If anyone is interested in making an outing after the holidays...just let me know.

I think I could be a fabulous photographer...if I had a Nikon D5000.

I have the Canon Rebel XTi. I took some pictures at the Central Park Zoo that came out nice.

I have many friends who say that it's not the camera but the photographer. I really don't care as long as you have a camera!!!lol:O)

Btw, these pics posted here are great.
