How old were your babies when they started sleeping through the night?

My son only lately started to sleep thru the night (except when he's sick), and hes 20 months! But I prolly could've made him sleep earlier if I'd tried the Cry It Out method... funny what desperation and a new pregnancy will allow u (and ur SO) to stand. lol

My oldest slept thru. the night from day 1, and yes in the hospital too, not for lack of effort on the nurse to wake him up.

Ds #2 was around 6 months old, but it was spotty. Then at 18 he was in a twin bed, and climbing in with us nightly around 2am.

ds #3 was around 8 months old (when a friend and I hunted down the blanket), but he didn't really sleep all night without waking at all until he was 3 1/2 when his tonsils and adenoids were removed.

ds #4 was around 4 months, but wakes on ocassion and goes back to sleep on his own.

My son really didn't sleep through the night until he was about 2 1/2 to 3. My daughter is 13 months and she has never slept through the night. Both were comfort nursers and in my bed though.

My girls were about 9 months when they finally slept through the night. Ellie has a hard time with teething, though, so the two-three weeks when she's getting a new tooth she's often up in the night. Other than that, or if they're sick, they sleep through the night the rest of the time.

Jillian slept thru the night at age 8 weeks, about 8 hours or so. However till that night she didn't sleep more then 15 minutes at a time. I just burned out one night and never her to dad and past out. The next morning I turned over and thanked him for taken care of her ALL night, to see that look on his face. I was so afraid to check her for fear of what I might find. Thankfully she was fine. Turns out he put he on her stomach for alittle while and was watching TV, well he fell asleep and never turned her back to her back in her bassinet. The doctor told us due to her stomach problems it was most likely soothing for her and she relaxed enough.
