how different are your kids? IE: Personality and such?

Mine are complete polaropposites. Daughter gets great remarks on her report cards and my son well, he pushes the limit.

My daughter don't care what she wears so long as it's comfortable, it don't even have to match, she could caare less. My son, has to have top of the line this that and everything inbetween and God forbid it's from walkmart or target.

My daughter rarely asks for anything and my son would ask for the sun, stars and moon if it were possible.

My daughter is shy and only has a few friends, my son is a social butterfly and talks to anyone and everyone.

They are complete polar opposites!

I watch my 4 year old and can note in many ways how different she is from my son when he was that age.  He used to be and still is a very laid back child.  She is intense in everything she does.  I look at the baby and hope that he'll be more like my oldest but have a very sick feeling that he'll be exactly, if not worse, than his big sister.  God help me.

Tori is 11 years old and Maddie is 2 years old...so I too think about who Tori was at Maddie age and they are nothing a like....Tori was a mommy girl and cried when I would go and not go to anyone...Maddie she is like "I'll see you"...lol Tori was not out going and Maddie is the one to just go no fear at all in her. But they each like to dress good...lol I think that is b/c Maddie looks at Tori and wants to wear what she is...lol

My 12 year old son likes the quiet. He will even turn off the tv all on his own for a little while. He doesn't even want me to turn on the radio when I feel it is too quiet. He does not like to be alone for too long. He is the most picky eater in our family.

My (soon to be) 14 year old daughter likes to talk, sing, dance while watching tv. Sometimes she gets too loud and both my son and I tell her to keep it down! She could spend the entire day alone in a room watching videos and playing with her toys. She will try new foods and eats lots of different things.

My two boys are night and day.  Oldest has been difficult from birth.  He had therapy for sensory processing disorder, speech delay etc.  He is now in a regular ed classroom, but getting him there was hard on all of us.  He probably suffers from ADHD and that may be the next road we have to venture with him....

My youngest was an early talker, gets along easily with peers, tells us in full sentences what he needs or wants.  He's a pleasure to take out and about, to playgroups, playdates, etc.  My oldest was never able to participate in a playgroup and has much difficulty still with any type of play date.

They get along well, and I'm glad I have the experience of having two different types of kids.

DS was always so alert and aware of what was going on around him as a baby. We couldn't get away with anything. He would make eye contact with people just to get them to smile at him. He remembers everything and is really smart. He talked really young.

DD is quite a bit different but still really aware of what's going on. She doesn't talk as much as her brother did but then again it's hard to get a word in. Neither of them are good sleepers so that's something they have in common.

My 14 yr. old (who will be 15 in May).... was always a very quiet child, slept through the night at a ridiculously early age, so laid back that I had a very clean apartment. When he went to daycare with me, he just wanted to sit and do his own thing (Buzz & Woody). Went to preschool without too much trouble. Problems started in elementary school... not retaining information, quoting Toy Story when asked a question. After 3 years of hearing "we think he should be evaluated for ADHD/ADD" I pulled him out and home schooledhim. The pediatrician and I both agreed that while he was "off" (or as we prefer Johnny), that wasn't the problem. When he went back to school in 5th grade, his teacher suggested Asperger's Syndrome after an article in Time Magazine had her saying "wow, that's Johnny." It took 2 more years, but he is an "Aspie." Doing so much better in school. The first report card after resource etc started he made honor roll.

My 10 yr. old son, is a pain in the @$$. He didn't sleep for more than 20 min. at a time, until a friend of mine (who's a PICU nurse) put him on his belly. Then I at least got to sleep in 2 hr. increments. Tons of ear problems. He's the child you couldn't turn your back on for more than a second or he'd be climbing something. He's a jock through and through.

My 7 yr. old underwent speech therapy from 18 months until the end of 1st grade. He had tons of ear problems, but was a nice mix of his brothers personalities. He is a tiny little thing, who just graduated to a booster seat a few days before his 6th Birthday. He didn't pass a hearing test with consistant results until he was 4.

Alex is my 2 yr. old. He's had his share of ear problems. Far more stubborn than all of his brothers combined. John and I had a feeling after complications with his pregnancy that he was going to be one of a kind :) HE is being evaluated for speech Thursday. He likes to omit beginning consonant sounds on many words :( He's a daredevil, and thinks everything is ment to be climbed on or slide down.
