So many things to see and do in this park. I wish I had more time to go through it today. In the winter it's just as spectacular. We snowmobile there and the kids love to go sledding down the hill they were rolling down. It's either 1300 or 1700 acres of natural beauty. I can't remember which.

Who are those beautiful girls (I know one is your daughter)?  They look so happy.

It is my all time favorite park. I have spent many many hours in that park. I love it...only thing I have never seen is the eternal falme and I'm not exactly sure where in the park that is. My favorite shelter is 31, Michaels Grove.

We snowmobile there in the winter, we love it. The trails that leave the park and head off into different directions are something else.

There were quite a few people walking the park today with their fur babies.

I also noticed them doing work on the fire tower. Looks like they were putting siding on there.

Also drove past the Sherrifs Head Quarters. What a beautiful place to have HQ.

They love walking the 100 steps and going into the creek. One is my daughter and the other is my friends daughter. They were happy and had a great time. My DD is the brunette.

Very pretty.  What is the old building?

The building is what they Call the Casino. In the winter months, families a plenty in there on the weekends drinking their hot chocolate and warming up by the fire after going down the sled hill.

I love Chestnut Ridge, another park I grew up going to was Emery, the creek at Emery is gorgeous.  Wish I could get out there more.  And I wish those old water pumps still worked, once in awhile when you go deep into Emery you'll find a working pump to soak your sweaty self off, lol.
