So I think we are moving to Korea non command sponsored and we are going to use our income tax check to rebuild what house things we would "need". But more importantly I need a new look to wow my DH. Since he left in Nov, I have lost 20 lbs and still working on more(hoping for warmer weather this week so I can walk.) So I am thinking a new hairdo and a new top, and maybe even (shh dont tell anyone) a little makeup. But I am totally lost at how to be a girl. I wear jeans and sneakers or flip flops everyday. I need ideas for hair styles. What are some of your fav shorter hairstyles?

this is me (before weight loss)

Ok, so hear me out... LOL... I do not mean to implay that you should go BLONDE... all of these are JUST haircuts...
You need bangs.. you need to show off those beautiful blue eyes-- and to bring the eye to your eyes- a long bang (like picture #2 or #3) will help bring the eye there.... I also think since your face widens at your cheeks (like most people..) you need to cut some layers that will frame your face and curve around to where your smile is... your shortest layer for these framing layers should end right near your smile.. like in picture #2... I dont think your hair should be longer then your sholders-- I think that makes your face look long... and that is why I added #4, see how her hair just frames her face... not drags her down... #3 hair is good-- but a few inches too long and the bangs need to be 2" longer... but it is a good look for you... just needs to be shorter then Mandy's...

Also, buy some haircolor that JUST adds gloss.... spend 20 minutes on YOU... You just need a perk up in your color and some shine... nothing but GLOSS.
Ok.. and Ali, you know I love you honey--- but also see someone to wax your eyebrows.. you need to open that area up. I think you would look super if they had a more defined shape. I KNOW you dont spend that kind of time on yourself--- but it is the first thing I noticed. You need eyebrow shape... to again, frame those GORGEOUS blue eyes...

I like the length of #4 I think the best. I really like that. Now I am excited. cant wait to go to the salon. And I dont think you could pay me enough to go blond again. It was way to much maintainance, i dyed it different colors for 15 years, and I LOVE the color of my hair now.

How do I do this? Would a deep condition work? I literally spendzero time on me. I wash my hair with generic anti-dandruf shampoo and brush it into a ponytail. (this pic was a shot to show john how long my hair was getting)

I know about the eyebrows, I just HATE getting them done.  Does threading hurt as much as waxing? I heard that this lasts longer, which meansgetting it done less often

.and ccompletly off topic did you notice pic 4 has 2 different color eyes

My friend M does this Clarol (sp?) shine treatment she was telling me about.. Shine Happy.. from drug store- inexpensive and 20 minutes..... Try that.
I dont think you should use dandruff shampoo everyday. It is drying and it will take the natural oils out of your hair-- making it not shiney. LOL.. I totally get why u use it.. but every other time you shampoo should keep the flakes at bay... and use a moisture shampoo in the interum.
When you wash your hair squeeze ALL the wetness out before you put in conditioner. That will help too. Your hair is a sponge.. cant soak up anything if it is full-- especially water vs. conditioner.

I did notice about Charlese eyes (sp?) OMG- she is sooo gorgeous...
I dont know anything about threading... I'm a waxer... every few weeks.. everything waxed.

I think Sammoms ideas are very nice, and as you are naturally very pretty, you dont need much make up at all.  if you go to lord & taylors or macys, they show you how to apply it and which colors are best for you. Im sure your husband will be very pleasantly surprised.

Oh and I did just finish the dandruf shampoo and decided I was going to see if I still needed it. I dont need it depending on how much sulfer is in the water. My moms house is pretty bad for it and the super yuck dandruff is the only thing that kept my scalp from falling off. I am hoping I can go back to my herbal essence.
