The nurse said he wasn't in pain at the end so at least there is that comfort.

The burial will take place tomorrow.

I am glad to hear he wasn't in pain, that must make it a bit easier for the family.

The Muslim tradition has the body being buried within 48 hours. Ahsmi and my MIL will leave tomorrow to accompany him to Philadelphia, PA where he will be buried. They will also return home tomorrow night.

I'm just not sure how to tell Naiya. She knew he was sick and in the hospital.

Liz,
I am so sorry to hear that.... but good that it was "quick" and painless.
Hugs to you and your family... and since I am close- let me know if there is anything you need.
I hope your hubbys good memories of his dad help him thru this difficult time.

I started wondering if that was a Religious tradition, after I typed that.

Liz, sending hugs through this time. When my grandpa dies my DD was almost 3 and we told her that he died and when she asked what theat meant we explained to her our religious beliefs of after life. Some kids understand what death means. I hope Naiya takes the news well.
