I upgraded my phone last week and when the woman put my memory card in my new phone she reformatted it and I lost nearly 1,000 pictures. Pictures of my kids being born, hospital pics, things I cant get back. About a month ago I checked to see how I could save them to a disk but I was told it would take two hours at least at CVS and I cant spend 2 hours doing that there because my 2 yr old would never make it. I didnt know about things like card readers etc.. I have tried all the programs I could find online and nothing works, I even went so far as to call private detectives to see if they knew of programs but no luck anywhere. I am SOOOOO depressed about this, i wish I knew some tech savvy geekish person to help me, but no one I know knows this stuff and I hate tht I just have to realize they are all gone.
Oh no!
When I take pics with my phone I try to send them to my email for uploading into the Kodak Gallery. That way if I ever lose my phone or it breaks...I have the pictures in my email (at least).

It honestly never even dawned on me to do that till about a month ago, but I didnt have emailing on my old phone thats why I was going to transfer them to a disk at cvs, I will now upload my pics to my computer every week or month. Lesson learned, but at such a huge loss to a mom! Really sad over this.
my dh will post his to facebook if it is something he wants to remember.... we lost many when his memory card got formatted.
That stinks. I aIways send them to my email too. I don't have a data plan just texting, but I do it anyway. It's worth the few cents. I lost a few months worth of pictures from my son's first year on an older computer so after that I learned to save them in a few places.
I am sorry that happened. I dropped my SD card and it got run over so i lost all the pics of my baby from birth to 2 months. I learned to upload them to my computer every 2 weeks and to my external hard drive also. It makes keeping them organized easy. I have a folder for each year with a folder for each month.
