SO & I was talking about going to beaches in the future, I'd like to take DD to Florida so she can really meet her other family members on my dad side.
& I mentioned there are soooooo many beautiful beaches down in Florida & SO agreed but..... To 'long island' beaches. (no offense Adele) but 'huh?!' I said to my SO, 'you want to go to long island for a beach?...... Ok.'. **shrugs**
So I guess in the near or late future we're gonna go to 'long island' for the beaches.

Personally, I would go to florida too, lol. While I live 5 minutes from one I don't go too often because of the parking fees.

Jones beach is nice,as in Captree. then there are a bunch in The Rockaway's that I lived at as a kid but haven't been to in manymany years so no idea what they would be like.

Where are you coming from and I could give you a better idea.

I love the south shore beaches. We go to Long Beach a lot. I have family there so we park at the house and walk. It is closer then parkiing at Jones beach and walking there. I hate north shore rocky beaches. But if I had to choose Florida would be the best lol

Hun we live in Syracuse (the 'central of Ny' blah IMO.)
We would maybe train it or bus it there. No way I'm taking a plane with a kid.

I know it's not ocean, but you guys should go to some beaches around here. Southwick up on Lake Ontario is really nice and as close to ocean-like as you can get around here lol. plus a ton cheaper.

There's also the North Shore (Long Island Sound) beaches, which are rocky (wear beach shoes!) and Peconic Bay, near Riverhead (Indian Island County Park).

Onedia Shores is County run as is Jamesville Beach

Then we have Green Lakes, Fair Haven, Southwick....

Then there is a small town one in the "South Bay" part of Cicero. You don't have to go to Long Island or Floridia for a beach.
