My brother rescued this dresser 6 yrs ago from the curb. It had a broken drawer (and no I can't remember which one it was), perfect height for the changing table pad for my nieces bedroom which was too small for dresser and changing table.
When he rescued it he fixed the drawer, checked all the others, sanded it and painted it.....
I finally broke down and rescued it from my Moms house, Carly has been using the plastic drawer things in her closet.
Now I would love something a little more "girly", the bottom two pulls are starting to show their age.
Inexpensive ideas? Her bedroom is a hodge podge of flowers, butterflies etc....

I like lishs idea about braided fabric...
Hve seen old spoons and knives used as decorative pulls... Buttons? Big ones? On a dowel cut?
The paint is staying. That is what my brother painted it for her.
I went to HObby lobby today and all they had were knobs.

I don't know how long anything fabric would last. She's a picker.

On pintrest i saw crochet (sp) made covers for the knobs... Tried to cut and paste on stupid ipad. Cant.
Ok, on pinterest they had ideas like wrapping them with ribbon, fabric scraps, rope, or embroidery thread. There was also one that was covered in colorful buttons and one that used leather as the pulls themselves or they just painted the existing pulls. I also thought maybe wrapping them in some colorful decorative duct tape might work as well.
Steph, you crochet, right? You could make some covers for them. Use a varaigated yarn with the colors of her bedroom in it.
I would sand them, clean them up and paint them.
