Why do drinking glasses and mugs have a little resevior at the bottom that fills with water so that when I run my dishwasher the water sits in the little area and drenches my hand when I remove them from the dishwasher AND makes me have the dry the glasses YET again?

this little spot here

Why?

What other stupid design flaws have you noticed that make you ask "why the f---?"

drives me nuts, because at the same time mine seems to not just leave water there, but debris of some sort!

I've often wondered that as well. Ticcks me off! And I don't even use my dishwasher, except as storage! But happens in my drain board as well.
