Of all the roles I've played, none has been as fulfilling as being a mother.

Yeah, not my mantra....
more like;

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time; ...(there is more.. but this is where my Mantra ends...LOL)
Amen.

My mantra is
"I love my kids, I love my kids, I love my kids"
That is chanted in my head as they are screaming, throwing food, fighting, or any of the other darling little things they do!

I love this one, and Often use it to explain why my house isnt perfect.

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow, So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.

"This too Shall pass"

I went to a MOPS (moms of preschoolers) meeting this week. It was basically a mommy play date. 2 and a half hours of adult conversation with no potty breaks, as adults we enjoy bathroom breaks.   and the speaker made a really big impression on me. The one thing she said was "This too shall pass"    She said it was her favorite quote and when she didnt have a good day its what helped her get through the day.

Love them both! Sometimes I really do need to get into the "this too shall pass" frame of mind. Lol :)
