Well I just found out from the sweetie last night that he's got a very good chance of deploying, again.  He just got back from deployment number 3 in July and I got preggers a few weeks later.  Yay for deployment babies.  LOL.  Well since than he has transfered to a new base and a bunch of units are deploying or have already deployed.  He says chances are good he's off again.  Granted this is the first deployment where we've actually been dating.  We've been best friends for 9 years so I pretty much know what to expect, but this is different and I'm pregnant so he won't be here when the baby is born.  This is baby number 2 for him and baby number 1 for me so it's gonna be tough on me.  Not like it isn't already.  We don't live in the same state right now.  I am so not looking forward to this.

Well he found out yesterday he's deploying in mid to late January for a year.  He definitely not be here when the baby is born.  I have my support system, but it still sadness me that he is going to miss the birth of his child and that this child will not know his or her daddy for the first 8 months of their life.  Don't mind me, I'm a little depressed about it right now.

Yeah, they get them out there pretty quick, huh? LOL

My hubby was deployed for a year and they were already telling him when the next deployment was, he wasn't even back! So we are gearing for deployment number 2 in our house.

Will he be there for the birth of the baby?

Unless he gets leave from deployment when I have the baby, he won't be here.

Thanks.  I'll still be home in MD when the baby comes and have a great support system and coaches if he's not here.  Just sucks he won't be here for this experience.

That sucks.  I'm pregnant and due any day now with baby #2 and my DH is deployed.  I have a doula through the Operation Special Delivery program which is awesome!  He's supposed to be home on R&R soon but who knows if he'll make it for the birth or not.  They are already talking about when his unit will deploy again and he hasn't even been gone 6 months yet!

i'm so sorry, hun.  do you live near friends or family?  would you be able to move near them if you don't?  it's not ideal, obviously, but hopefully you can be with someone even if you aren't with your husband.  having a newborn (your first, at that) is definitely something where you'll want and need support.

I'm sorry. Will was almost deployed during the birth of our second son. I flipped out. Which isn't like me. I normally get told he's deploying and then start the process of getting ready. Hell, I pack him. Lol. But this time it wasn't happening. I was having so many issue as it was. So, I told him to take his name off the list. Which lucky for me, he gets to do. He's AF and a crew chief. They usually volunteer. Had he gone, I'd be going home the closer it got to my birth. And if by chance he did come home in time, he'd get to LR, inprossess and fly out to NC.
