This is a really old pic, but one of my favorites.  This was my son's 4th birthday.  We went to the local park and covered the basketball court  (just an outside concrete half court) with butcher paper.  We then set out dishpans and put non-toxic paints in all of them.  We put them in their swimming clothes and let them go to town.  They created art with their bodies and had a BLAST!  Afterwards, we put out baby pools and sprinklers to get them all cleaned off.  It was really the best birthday ever for us.  My son is 14 now.  Here is a pic of him after he created his "art".
