So this is our first duty station, we have been here (ft bliss) since august. Haven't had the chance to meet anyone yet, hubbys unit is new so theres not much of frg. I'm pretty much at home all the time, hopefully we can get a second car soon so i can take the kids places so we're not always stuck at home. Anybody else get tired of being around the kids ALL the time? just needed to vent a little.
welcome to the group and Fort Bliss, we moved here back in june. My husband just deployed last week and I'm already tired of being with the kids all the time, I use the hourly care at the Daycare on base when I need a break. I think it's 3.50 an hour when your hubby isn't deployed.
yes, being around the kids 24/7 gets on my nerves too at times:) Is there a park near you, that you could walk to? it's also a possible opportunity to meet other moms there??
Welcome. You are in my hometown. There's really not much to see but if you like to do small road trips Carol's Bad Caverns and White Sands are fun. (White Sands would be better to do in the summer). I don't know how they do the border anymore cause I think you need a passport now but people like to got to the Derby in Juarez. I've never been though. Other than that it depends on what side of town you decide to live on. But El Paso is pretty much boring.
the only park near us is on post. we should be moving on post in february, can't wait that way Kaylea will have a way to burn of some energy. lol. thanks for all the advice. i'm going to try to register them at the daycare so that way i can get a break or take them on saturdays so me and the hubby can have some time away from the kids. Nice to know i'm not alone.
