I went to my hubby's ako and went to ASK, (assignment satisfaction key) to see if he was on orders to go anywhere. well it said rule 35: you are in a fenced in unit. I know this means no one can leave.. Usually it means they will be deploying) they are scheduled to go to NTC im March. They got home from I raq last year in Nov, do you really think they could e getting orders? No one has said anything. I am prior service myself so I have seen this and I have never seen a unit fenced inn other wise, Im just wondering if there is another reason why they could be fenced in? thanks!
Yep, they are going to be getting orders soon I bet. They could be leaving as late as next fall, or earlier possibly. My ex got home in Dec 08, and the post commander told me back in Sept that my ex's brigade is tentatively slatted to head for Iraq summer 2010 (my husband is division, so my deployment briefings were run by the general, so I had a face to face chance to ask about JUST that!), they just hadn't cut the orders yet, so it was not official yet.
I used to be a 42A, and in all my training and experience, I have never heard of any other reason being eligible for stop movement orders other than deployment (as a unit).
thank you, yeah the battalion commander has stated that they are not getting orders "that he is aware of" so yeah I knew it was coming I would just like plenty of notice is all. geez I can handle it its just going to be rough with the three kids and me going to school.
