Growing up, it was paper plates for Thanksgiving bc it was a whole family affair. Meaning all of the aunts and uncles and cousins.
This year, I'm using my Polish china bc there's only a few of us. I part of my excitment is from being able to use it. Its a special occasion type of thing.

I hate washing dishes too. Its just that they are so pretty! Lol. I got 2 different sets of china last year for Christmas from my dad. I went w/him to the habitat for humanity store back home so he could find a table and ended up finding the dishes. It was awesome bc I collect German dishes (which one of the sets are) and as impractical as it is, they aren't to eat off of. Unless its a VERY special occasion.
