Are you/ your SO a lifer? Or are you counting the days to get out? Or are you somewhere in between?

My husband is a lifer. He is halfway to retirement, so why not? :)

My hubby just started his 9th year...so he will now be going to 20, possibly more.

We are a lifer. He has only been 4 years and just re enlisted for another 4. He is good at what he does and he loves it, so why not.

We are at 20 and 1/2 years right now.DH has 8 months left on his contract and he has decided to get out.If he stays in ,he will get promoted out of a job, again, and we are done with the moving.Once you have kids in high school,it is really hard to move them away from their friends. We are ready to be a "normal" family for once.

Well, Dh has been in for 6 years, and just re-enlisted for 4 more...so that will make it 10 by the end of this one...so we might as well stay in, right?

LOL well I know he planned on being a lifer when we married.....

I hate he has to get out if he is wanting to stay in, but he has definitely served his time. And I definitely understand the not wanting to move when the kids are in HS. That would be so hard to have to move when they are so close to finishing school. So, I guess congrats are in order :)
