my husband missed both births by 3 days

he deplpoyed 3 days before my dr would do a c section for our son

then he was flown home 3 days after I had DD because she was in the NICU.

Hubby wants to have 1 more when he is on shore duty so he can be at the birth but im not sure if i want any more babies. I may change my mind though in a couple years.

We are lucky. He won't be deployed until after the birth since this is our first and he'll be gone a year to possibly GITMO. His command took him off the list until after June.

my SO will most likely be missing her birth, he is supposed to be deploying in March, it will be the only one that I will not have someone with me :(

Not yet, but he may miss this one. I have already resolved myself that he will miss it and have all sorts of plans in place, lol! Hope for the best and plan for the worst, right?

DH graduated Basic two days before I had our daughter so he was at AIT when she was born.  So he missed but not for deployment.

We've been blessed. My hubby has been there for all three of ours, although he missed most of the last two pregnancies. It wasn't such a big deal , to me, not having him here while i was pregnant. I would rather him be there for the birth and thankfully he was.
