DH finally received his military incentive ride!!! (pics)
So DH is a crew chief on F-16s and he was sent TDY to Red Flag these past two weeks. He was finally able to get his incentive ride and I'm so0 happy for him!
I think it's great that they allow these rides to go on. It really made him happy and he truly deserved it.

Sounds fun. My son wants to be a Navy pilot when he grows up. I showed him these pics and he got really excited.
Here are some more you can show him. DH said that it takes a HUGE toll on your body, lol. He said he almost threw up about 5 times haha. He wanted to be a pilot as well, but his eyes are terrible :( He atleast gets to work on 'em. I hope your son can reach those dreams!
Here he is during parachute training

Those are the Thunderbirds, the AF's version of the Navy's Blue Angels?
Congrats. DH has been in for 10 years and has only gotten one...lol...they hand the flights out to everyone else besides the guys that work on them. Glad he had a great time.

I hear ya on that one. DH has been in for 6 years and he almost didn't even get this one. The jets kept breaking all the time, but he made sure that thing was fixed before they could deny the flight. Stuff like this keeps their morale up in dismal situations
Awww, thanks. My son will be 9 on the 13th, so he has some time. He has big plans for himself. He wants to go to the Naval Academy and then become a pilot. I keep telling him he better keep doing well in school and not get into ANY trouble.
