A Restaurant?
DH and I were talking about how we went to this restaurant when we first moved here. It's called Fish City Grill. They sat us down and I went to use the restroom. DH said that when I was gone, the waiter came over and asked him what he wanted to drink, DH told him that he was going to wait for me. The waiter then sits down in our booth and says, "I have had a long day, I'm tired. I'll wait here until she gets back."
Now, what surprised me the most was that DH stayed shut! LOL He's the type to say things quick! When I got back, the waiter had left but he came back and asked us if we knew what we wanted. I told him not yet and proceeds to sit down on our booth again, waiting for us to tell him what we wanted! Omg, he was like a parasite! haha
Needless to say, we didn't end up eating there.

We went out to this bar b que restaurant one evening and waited 20 minutes just for somebody to take our drinks. As we were getting up to leave the waiter comes and says, "I'm sorry for the wait. I can take your order." I told him, "This place is EMPTY and we've waited 20 minutes. I'm sorry but we're not eating here." He watched us walk out the door as we left.... We haven't gone back yet and don't know if we will.
I've wanted to try that place. Not so much now! LOL..Did he say anything when ya'll left?
We went to Chili's yesterday and the waitress was horrible. I think she checked on us once. My hubby's steak was so well done it look like a piece of rubber. We usually have a great meal there, so I'm not sure what happend.
I have had quite a few bad experiences. But the funniest one was when we were eating at Hooters. The waitress came and sat at our table while she was taking our orders- no big deal, they do that all the time- but she started flirting a bit much with my husband and he didn't appreciate it (he was in a grumpy mood that day). He told her that I was the one with the money and if she wanted a tip she should be "working" me... so she did! She was doing obvious "flirting" and it was sooo bad. She really had no idea what she was doing, but she got points for trying. It took all I had to not bust out laughing at her until she left. I had a blast, LOL! Anyway, I did leave her a good tip :)
i had a horrible night as a waitress one night....a table of ignorant, very rude, DRUNK ass men....started calling me names and yelling across te restaurant when I was back in the kitchen and another girl's table paid her to spill a pitcher of tea on the main guy... lol ...I came back to the table with the main guys refill and he was soaking wet and I aksed what happened ( I honestly had no clue ) and he was like this was you, your idea, wasn't it?" I was just like WTH happened... and he said ya know this isnt the first time people have had a problem with me but definitely the first time this has happened.... they paid for their stuff and left...i walked back into the kitchen and everyone was laughing their asses off.... i ended up in tears that night because I swear I got stuck with all the rude people and i was severely PMSing...it was just an all around horrible night.
ETA: the guy told her either she was gonna take the money and do it or he was gonna follow the guy out and beat his ass in the parking lot.... she took the money...

He didn't say anything, he looked like that was his first job, LOL I didn't really like the selections on the menu, the waiter was what really got us out of there quick though!
WOW! No I've been lucky, but I've eaten at that resturant, its decent, not the best not the worst, but ehhh, by all means, lol.
We were at Applebee's and the waitress never would check on us, was very short with us, and just all around rude. Needless to say, she didn't get tipped. We went back to the same Applebee's and never had a problem there again, but we didn't see that waitress there ever either. Other then that, not really any problems.

There are some really disrespectful men out there! I'm glad they did that to him =)
when we were in upstate ny we went to this place called uno pizzeria or something. we walked in and it was pretty busy. i was with my husband and two single guys. they were hoping for a girl, well we got the only male waiter. he comes over takes our drink order, someone else brings the drinks, he took the meal orders, someone else brought our food, he never came back. we waited 30 minutes no one brought us refills. the meals were all wrong and not very good. trying to get someones attention my husband slammed his glass down and still no one came. finally a waitress was walking by and my husband said can we get the checks. we got the checks and paid. i didn't leave any tip. the other guys said i was mean and i said no, it's shitty service and it was all wrong i'm not taking that and he doesn't deserve a freakin dime. the other guys left a dollar each. so he got a $2 tip on probably a $40 table. then as we were leaving we say him sitting and flirting with another waitress. as we walked out the manager just happened to be saying goodnight to people. we told him that our waiter and pointed him out was shitty, we had shitty service and we will never be coming back. and we haven't, they are a chain and we have never gone to another one.
I've had many bad experiences at restaurants and the tip reflects the service I get. I can't think of any specifics right now.
OP: are you sure that wasn't one of those restaurants where they are supposed to act like that? I've been to some where it's kind of normal for the server to sit down and talk with you.
Seriously...They're called clothes, you might want to buy some.
