DH still has to talk to a recruiter, but hopefully he will be able to reenlist.my question is how did you budget for while he is in training, do we get BAH while he is in training? I don't know what his pay grade will be but he is prior service so he will at least be a E-2.
He should go back with the paygrade he left with.
Warning: Prior service is a bitch to get back in right now. Be prepared to hear "no" a few times.
While he is training, yes he will get BAH. For anything over the first 30 days. You will get sep pay too. And, then of course, his regular pay.
Good luck.

Seperation pay is for any time period over 8 weeks (right?) that you will be seperated from your family. Deployment or not. It's at $250.00 right now...if I recall correctly.

i don't know what his pay grade was when he got out.. but why do we get sep. pay? i thought that was for deployments

Quoting amberdy:We got BAH, base pay and family seperation when he was in BCT and AIT (I'm pretty sure). It took awhile for the first pay check to come through, but not too long. We didn't have to do anything differently than before he went in.
when i was in the CG i know it took 1 pay cycle for my pay to come... i started basic on the 21st, so i didn't get paid until the 15th. we plan on making all the bills direct widthdrawl and then estimating what i will need for food/diapers and clothes for DD and have that put in my account and the rest in savings
It's for any time you have orders over 30 days according to my dearest love. I think it is $250.

IT sounds like you have it worked out. You'll be fine.

i wasn't sure on the time frame required for sep. pay. that will help... with out BAH we'd have just enough for bills.. probably will put sep pay in a seperate savings acount to use to see him at graduation. depending on where his training is i don't know if we'll drive or fly.. but i really don't want to carry her true fit through an airport
