So hubby just left to go to his 1 month training and we had to be there at 7am... we woke up at 7am!!!!!!! His platoon Sgt called and was like were are you did I wake you up and my hubby was like no and I am on my way. I am sooooo freaking out right now he has been waiting for this Pfc promotion and now they might take it away and Idk. Omg I feel sooooooo bad hes gonna get in sooooo much trouble I bet!!!!!! Anyone have any advice or encouraging words?
Update
So everything is ok he is there and he might lose half a day of pay but his Platoon Sgt is trying to make that not happen. Whew!! Plus he is not leaving until tomorrow!! Yay!!!! So I get to see him tonight!! Thank you everyone!!!
We're an AF family so I'm not quite sure how it works in the Army, but as long as this isn't something that is habit for him I would think he would most likely get a verbal counseling or a LOR (letter of reprimand). I wouldn't think it would affect him making rank.....
Ok I hope thats all it is, my hubby talked to his platon Sgt and he said that he may lose half a day of pay which is fine I dont care as long as thats it.

If its not a habit then he will get an ass chewing and be done with it. My hubby usually gives his soliders atleast one late, smokes them and then leaves it alone. You should buy another alarm clock with batteries. Just don't make it a habit.
This! My DH has overslept a couple of times, but he has always been an over-achiever so he didn't really get much more than a tap on the hand.

hope u have an understanding sgt. dh had that happen once. he was supposed to leave at like 6 am for the field so we set the alarm and everything and it never went off. so he got in trouble because we woke up at the time he was supposed to be there. then another time he was supposed to go to the field and be there at like 4:30 again our alarm was set and never went off he had a friend call and wake us up saying dude where are you your gonna be in trouble so we were rushing to get there and his sgt showed up at our house at this same time asking why he wasnt there and he told him the alarm didnt go off and his sgt didnt believe him so he got a consuling statement for that but otherwise we havent had much of a problem.
I agree, as long as its not an ongoing thing, he'll probably just get extra work and such, but won't probably lose rank.
Hopefully it will not be too bad. We always set 2 alarms for things like this when it is super important to be there on time. And DH always adds 15 minutes prior to the already unspoken 15 minutes prior rule, just to be safe.
