I have a good friend whose husband wants to join. And she is really against it.. Please dont bash her.. I used to be against my husband joining. But now I am completely for it. I dont know why I changed my mind but I have done a lot of researching and talked to a lot of people about it and over the past few years I have slowly changed my mind. They have a little girl who will be 2 by the time he enlist and goes to bootcamp and stuff. And she knows he will more than likely join.. He has wanted to join for a while but when they got pregnant with there first child he gave up on wanting to join and now he is REALLY wanting too.. What is some stuff I can tell her to help her out.

I was against dh joining but it was my ignorance. I thought everyone in the military was on the front lines. Tell her about the benefits you enjoy most and suggest she sits in with DH at all his recruiting appointments. I would go in with long lists of questions and we were blessed to have recruiters that kept it real, not just ones that wanted to make their quota.

I would suggest her joining the group and I would also tell her about the benefits (medical, steady pay check, job security, etc) but also let her know about the downside of it.

Tell her it is job security. It is definite insurance for the baby. It is not a bad job and while being a navy wife is hard it is also rewarding.
