Had A Miserable Day!! VENT (Kinda long)

Okay so here is my fabulous day!!  So I was not feeling this morning so I decided not to go into my first volunteer job cause I was exhausted and feeling awful after spending about 4 or 5 hours in the ER because my 14 month had a bad allergic reaction at daycare.  No idea what it was but at least they got us seen pretty fast and they gave him steriods and benedryl.

So back to this morning DS only had a few blotches left from the reaction from yesterday.  I get a call at about 9:45, about an hour after boy kids went to daycare.  Yougest DS' teacher calls me to tell me that DS2 (14 months) is have ANOTHER allergic reaction and that it was getting really bad again and the CDC director said I had to come IMMEDIATELY.  So here I am panickening because its happening for a 2nd time in TWO DAYS!!  Daycare said he's had all the same food before and they aren't giving or have anything new.

So I get to daycare and see DS and I swear it looks worse then yesterday!!  And the director gives me the 3rd degree when she finds out that DS2 got perscribed EPI pens yesterday and DH forgot to bring them.  And asked what his allergies are and I said I have no idea cause ER said that I have to go to PEDS to get a referral to get allergy testing.  Then she tells me that DS can't come to daycare again until DS2 gets tested to find out his allergies and the doctor signs papers and perscribes more EPI pens for at daycare.  Great, I have appt's all week whose going to watch DS2 cause some of them I can't take him with me.

So we get to the ER and since it was his 2nd reaction two days in a row they got him back right after we talked to the nurse in triage.  The doctor comes to see him pretty quick.  Basically all they can do is give him more benedryl and give him different steriods.  And I have to again wait for who knows how long to get DS2 tested for allergies.  ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!  I want to know whats wrong with my son like RIGHT NOW!!  Otherwise I had a great experience with both the nurses and doctor being really hands on.  And then the last 20 minutes DS was screaming his head off!!  DH transferred to a new company recently and they aren't as understanding as his last at all so I was stuck dealing with DS2 being upset, uncomfortable and cranky all by myself for the 2nd day in a row!!

So finally get out of ER and then I have DS2's dentist appt and I can't cancel cause his specialists were already getting on us a month or two ago about DS2 not being seen by the dentist yet.  He was born with a cleft palate so being seen by a dentist is very important.  So we go and he literally screams again the whole time in the reception area but was real good with the dentist.  Then I have a chiropractic appointment right after and I go and stupid me puts DS2 on a chair and he falls off and hits his head.  F***ing GREAT!!  More fun for me today.

Get to the gate of the post only to realize in the midsts of my short time off post I LOST my F***ING military ID.  WTF?!?  Seriously can this day get any worse!!  Fortunately we just moved on post last week and the guard said they can check the housing rooster to verfiy my name and military dependent.  THANKFULLY we were put on it and they said they would let me get on this time.  But now I don't know if I can get a new one tomorrow cause DH has to go to DEERS with me and his unit sucks and I don't know if they will let him and I have to go off post again tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me vent.  I think I need a mojito!

Oh man! That sucks. Do you have a POA? If you do then you can go to DEERS yourself. Not that it makes all the rest of it better, but it may help that one thing.

I did have a POA when he was deployed but I was told before they won't take POA's if DH isn't deployed.
