OT- silly question..

 The dinner post reminded me of this.  When you say "root beer", which word do you emphasize?  When I say it, I put more emphasis on the word  "root", rather than "beer".  DH says it the opposite.  He says root BEER.  It drives me nuts, and we always have an argument about it (joking of course).  He's from IL and I'm from AL, so there's a lot of those kind of arguments between us.  How do you say it?  lol

i just say "i would like a root beer please...heavy on the root"  ^_^

 exactly! That's my point.  If you stress "beer" it sounds like it's a beer.  But it's not.  lol

I don't put any emphasis that I have noticed...I just say rootbeer...and we always have it in the house :)
