what kinds of "special" things did you add with your letters when your SO was in basic? currently I give up weekly updates of his favorite TV shows, and I printed out his Facebook wall and sent it to him. I need some more creative ideas :) HELP PLEASE

I liked being jokes, or news articles. Gosh anything was good.

I just sent letters because my son said the DS's open the mail and mess with the guys sometimes.

I'm not sure what branch he's in, but I would be careful with what you send. When I was In basic, anytime my TI saw colorful things, photos or anything, he would want to see it, which would usually lead to ridicule, even if it was just my Facebook wall from my mom. But keep sending them letters!! :-) random drawings from LO's are always amazing. I didn't have my DD at the time, but I loved getting drawings from my nieces. My mom also sent self addressed and stamped envelopes to save me time.
