How do you make it...

through the first night?  Since the plane is safely on it's way to points unknown, I guess it's safe to say that DH left today :(  DS has been gone for months now, so it's just me and the empty house.  How do you guys make it through the first night, when they leave?

Go to sleep. I don't know. Sometimes cry a little. Write a letter. Journal.

I get takeout, eat my emotions, and cry myself to sleep. The next day starts the routine, but that first night I let myself just feel.

The first night is sad, but honestly what I find even worse is the 200th night when you are so used to it you don't even cry anymore.

Well by then I'll be over there and hopefully seeing him once a month.  I have to fly monthly to a base near his to have our tools calibrated so I'm hoping we will get to see each other :(

Focus on the positive, I'm no good at advice DH has been gone 10 months so far this time. I'm used to it.
