DH is supposed to report at MEPS for travel one day, then it says basic training doesnt actually start for two weeks??

Are they at the base and doing the in-processing and housekeeping things for that long, or is that an error??

Yes, it's possible he will be in-processing for two weeks.  Usually it's about 7-10 days.  With a couple days allowed for travel.

It's possible. It can be a week or two weeks of inprocessing depending if they have a lot of soldiers.

Like the others said, it's possible. If he reports to MEPS and spends a night at a hotel there, then leaves the next day, spends a day flying down then gets to Base the next day and spends a week or so in Reception yeah, it can take up to 2 weeks probably. But with the Army, you will pretty much not know anything specific... ever... >.<  To be honest, THEY probably don't even know.
