I leave that one to their father. There is a lot of pissing off the back deck involved.

My mom claims putting cheerios in the toilet and telling them to take aim works wonders. I could see this developing into a problem at breakfast though....

I didn't potty train either of my boys. I was working full time with both of them at that age, so my mom took care of E and daycare too care of Bubba. Plus, I'm one of those, they will train when ready type of people. Both boys were fully potty trained by the time they were 3 1/2 (gasp).

I started both my boys out sitting down to go potty.  Most training potties come with a little shield that you can put in place to block the...umm...geyser.  lol  Once they were comfortable with using the potty instead of going in their diapers, I used the Cheerio method.  lol  And I keps a small dish of M&Ms at hand.  If they went in the potty without an accident in their pants, they got one as a reward.  Two when they pooped in the potty.  It worked really well, for us.
