Ft Jackson South Carolina advice PLEASE! :)

Hello all~

My brother in law in about to graduate Army BMT.  (my husband and I are Air Force) anyway.

We are planing on going to his graduation, and I am looking to make reservations.  My question for you is...

Did you go to your SO's graduation (or anyone's) in Ft Jackson?  Where did you stay? Where did you wish you would have stayed? Any advice?

I did... I believe I stayed at the Days Inn near base. I was fine with that. It was close enough but it wasn't a sketchy area. I think I googled hotels near fort Jackson and just read reviews of others who had gone for graduations. Make sure to book early because there were some other places I looked at that were full already.

 No advice. I graduated BCT there and dont remember a damn thing about the area, other then it was ungodly hot the summer I was there. Lol.

I don't remember where we stayed.  It was 10 years ago.

The city is Columbia, try searching for places there. Do they have lodging on post there? That might be a cheaper option than staying off post, it will probably be more convenient as well.

 DH graduated in 09' and we stayed in a hotel on post. It was actually really nice and I think we only paid like $40 a night.

My sister is there right now at BMT. She wanted me to go to her grad but I cant cause im due that month her grad is on march 23rd! Ill find out from my parents where they are staying maybe they know of a good place
