hey quick question about insurance i have just been told because of my policy tricare is secondary if anyone else has this same type of issue i have some question on billing and understanding the way to be seen offbase does my primary have to have a referral or if i have a tricare referral can i use it if this makes sense to anyone please help me otu because i am so confused and hate talking on the phone because it is hard to hear and i dont always understand so thanks

You go by the policies of your primary insurance. A referral from Tricare will do nothing for your primary insurance.

ok they told me i have to have a referral from my pcm who is military to be seen off base by a tricare and other insurance provider but on the outside my other insurance is billed first is that right thanks

Yes, your other insurance will be billed first then Tricare should pick up the remaining balance.

Why dont you know what the other question is is it hard to understand what someone is trying to say when there are no periods or commas i am not trying to be mean but I really couldnt understand what was going on

OP if your being seen on base at an MTF for your PCM- and not a civilian doctor- then you will need a referral-from tricare-

or you can go tricare standard and not have to do referrals.

sorry i did not make my questions so you could understand them.

my second question was is my other insuarance biiled first or tricare i am really new to having two insuarances and it is very confusing
