Tricare referral question.

I have had a referral to a pain clinic to help with my back fusion. I have been going there for about 2 years now and am not at all happy with the care, they don't give a shit about my pain. They ask if the meds are working, I say no, they say okay see you next month.... Wtf. Soo anyway I want to stop seeing these people and go to another clinic. I know I need to see my pcm to let her know but does anyone know if I have to go and tell the ladies at the pain clinic I want to stop seeing or can tricare just call and let them know? I hate confrontations and don't even want to deal with them. I'm calling tomorrow to make an appointment with my pcm, but I just want to be prepared before I go in. Thanks for any help! :)

Oh yeah we have Tricare Prime, if that matters at all.

I changed my specialist without telling them (the specialist) I wasnt planning to return. I cancelled my last appointment... Had my new doc request my medical records and never dealt with them again.

I would just have your new doctor's office request your records, you shouldn't have to tell the old place anything. I need to also go see a pain doctor, so good luck with everything, hope they find something that works for you.

The only thing you need to tell your [soon to be] old specialist is that you need copies of your records transferred to your new doctors. Cancel any upcoming appointments you have with them, and then you just walk away. If they want to know why you're leaving, they'll ask. At that  point, you could just tell them it's because they suck. =)
