My Husband has just joined the military, and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what to look forward to or watch out for, as far as housing, healthcare, childcare, pay and what a post is like? i'm really eager to learn more from others moms/wives who are going through it now

You can look up the pay charts online. I never live in housing on post. We use our BAH to pay our rent and now our mortgage. Healthcare can be frustrating, but it is better than nothing. Childcare is available on post, but you still have to pay for it. Each post is different. Some are big, some are small. Some are in good areas, some bad. It is luck of the draw and what you want.
