Military Disney tickets?

Does anyone have ANY info on whether or not they will extend the salute? Dh and I decided over the weekend to book one more trip in Sept just in case they don't renew. Also, if they do renew, we will be at our 12 max tickets so I am wondering if they will up the amount you can buy, otherwise even if they extend it it wouldn't do us any good.

I'm not sure if we're maxed either.  I had year passes in 2008-2009.  At the current promotion, I bought 4 tickets the first year and then 4 this past year. I just bought 4 a month ago.  I may have bought 5 tickets instead of 4 one of the times but we go so often I can't remember and I didn't realize about the 12 ticket max until this year or I'd have been keeping better track.  One of the years we went twice and I can't remember if I still had the passes or bought tickets.  I really don't want to find out when I get to guest services that I owe a sh!t ton more $$ if that's the case.  lol

I think we've already used our 12 then between 2010 and 2011.  Trying to remember how many we bought I know this past year it was 6 and we bought our middle daughter an 8 day park hopper.  The year before I think I bought either the same as 2011 or 3 four day passes and then regular park hoppers from MWR.

No, only when the promotion changes.  This promotion has been going on for about 2 years ( the first year they offered that discount plus they extended for a year).  The one before was 5 days for $124.

When I first read about the 12 ticket limit i was curious to know what they considered the promotion time - from the first time they originally started doing the discounted tickets until they stopped doing it or each year.  I called Disney and they told me this particular promotion is for 4 days for $138/3 for $99 and the promotion period is for as long as they have been offering that discount, which has been about 2 years.  THe promotion before that was 5 days for $124 - that was counted as a different promotion.  Therefore, it's not 12 tickets a year but 12 tickets per the 4/138&3/99 promotion period. So if they extend  that promotion for another 2 years, you still only get 12 tickets for the life of that promotion.  If they start a new promotion prices and/or days will be different.

Does that make sense??  When I called DIsney, I had them stumped  - had to talk to a few people before they gave me an answer. lol

Quoting DizneyMomma2001:

Doesn't the discount start over in regards to tickets every year they do it?

Quoting dballa:

I hope they don't extend the promotion because if they do, no tickets for us next summer.  They need to start a new on so I can start over. ;P

When we've activated our tickets before we had to show our ID's but I wonder if it's just validating that we had military ID's or they keep track of it.  Because if people show up and are over their limit, there will be some really pissed off people that will have to shell out extra cash.

I just bought 4 tickets for $552.  For those tickets to be purchased there it will be $1218 according to Disney's website.  If we have to shell out another $666 to cover I'm going to be pissed.  We've been so many times, I've lost count how many tickets I've actually purchased because part of the time I had an annual pass. =(  I know that's not DIsney's fault BUT ITT shouldn't let you buy the tickets if you've reached your max.    I guess we shall see.

If I remember correclty, they waited to the "last minute" to extend this past promotion.  The promotion before was 5 days for $124 and while they didn't renew it they started another promotion, which is this one.

I hope this promotion ends and they start another one because I'm pretty sure I'm at the max or over for 12 tickets.

I still want to know how they keep track of it. I know when I have bought  tickets at ITT, they didn't notate anything.  If it's at guest services, if you are over do they make you pay the difference there???

I believe they (Disney) enter it into their computer. We all had to give our names at the window to the kady. I am almost at the max too so I hope they start a new promotion. Last year they announced the extention in April, and its Juky already so that is what make me wonder if they are extending it again.

And sooo worth it.  I don't think anyone realizes how much tickets usually are.  I just bought tickets for my parents anniversary at the end of this month and me and my son are going too. I'm a FL resident so mine were discounted (150) but my parents for the same deal as below were 350 a piece.  I miss the military perks!

Anybody thinking of going should take advantage of the discounted room rates at the resorts.  Magic hours are the best and it is a great way to experience disney.

What is the Disney deal? I've gotten mixed answer.

4 day park hopper for Disneyworld for $138.

3 day park hopper for Disneyland for $99.

Also 20-40% off on Disney hotels.
