Cancer get well basket.

I just learned that a friend of mine has cancer. I would like to do something nice for her, but I'm sorta at a loss. She just completed a round of chemo... my usual go to would be to cook a meal or make a bread, muffin basket, but since she's nauseous I don't think food is a good idea. So my question is what would you put together? Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

Does she read? Music, books... Things to keep her occupied during treatments.
Also, she might get cold. Maybe a knit scarf or sweatshirt that is soft and comfy.

This may sound strange- but Lemon drops.  My mom is typically not a fan of things like that, but when she had chemo it was the only thing that made her mouth feel not completely dried out.  Puzzle books (crossword, or the variety type), books, magazines, a pretty journal and a nice pen would all be good things.

On pinterest I saw sinething that the lemon drop comment reminded me if, it was a box full of yellow candy and soda and she called it a box of sunshine. It had suns and you are my sunshine quotes, since you are worried about food aversions maybe you could put other non food yellow things in there? Yellow scarf/blanket, yellow bookmark etc?

From my brother, 2+ years in remission:  Videos or movies, chamomile or green tea for when they are up to it, books, unscented body lotion for when their skin gets dry from chemo or radiation.  Send a text or a card offering to visit at the last minute (if you can do this).  He said it was incredibly lonely and when he felt up to visitors, it was often kind of a last minute thing, and those few people he could text and say "hey can you come over for a little while" were priceless.

Peppermint or ginger tea is good for upset stomachs,I agree with the soft blanket and a soft with no seams hat. Also magazines or book that you know she may like, cards(playing cards,Uno,things like that)music cds by artists she likes and an inexpensive cd player if you know she doesn't have one and you can afford it.

Blanket, socks, gift card to book store, magazines, puzzle books. A lot of sitting and waiting when you have chemo.

Thank you all for these great ideas! I'm going to head out this weekend to try and find some of these items.
