that is the question...and its really starting to cause headaches in our marriage. My husband has been in for 22 years, he can retire any time. He cant' decide if he wants to retire or not. He is scared to leave and start over, but doesn't want to transfer any more. Its been 2 years of him trying to decide.
His Sr. Chief is going through the same thing and says that his wife and him have fought ever day about it. So far we haven't fought and ultimately it is his decision and that is why I keep telling him whatever he wants to do is ok with me, of course giving him the pro's and con's.
I'm not the one that for 22 years hasn't been able to wear my hair the way I want, adjust my tattoos that I've wanted...has to stay within weight standards, live on ships, ect. I won't lead him in either direction and the truth is, I'm stuck too.
We hear both sides from others...bad to retire, hard to find a job out in the civilian world...bad to stay in, harder to find a job when your older (going to 30)....
Any tips, suggestions, experience in this decision?
