We are PCSing to Kansas in November from Cali and I want to be prepared. What kind of clothes should we have? It is warm in Cali till like december so we have never really had to worry about a lot of winter clothes...a little confused as to what we might need.
Thanks!
A cute blue gingham print dress, tin foil hat, straw stuffed vest, and throw in a lion costume for good measure.
in all seriousness though, ive never been to kansas before so i wouldn't know for sure :)
Seriously, cracked up.
OP - I don't know anything about winter, but I imagine it's cold. Only lived in CA and FL.

I'm from Wichita, KS. It gets very cold there in November. The wind is killer. I LOVED to wear hoodies. Jeans are a good idea too. Kansas is one of those places where dressing in layers is always smart. Here is a site that gives you the average temperatures for each month: http://www.climate-zone.com/climate/united-states/kansas/wichita/
I have a feeling I'll be buying winter clothes for the first time.
It depends. It can be light jacket weather or full on winter coat and gloves weather in Nov. Last year we had a really mild winter but I'm not sure if that's going to be the case this winter. Last week it was cool enough in the morning a couple of times to have to put a light jacket on my son and it's only August.
