I am moving to Forthood. My husband goes there today to sign in. Its his first duty station. Im in Mi with the kids. Wondering what to expect next?

We are at Hood but pcs in 2 weeks. I'm also originally from MI. What area are you in?

I'm at fort hood. I guess u would have to find a place to live next! :) when do u move with the kids?

We were at Hood from August-December. And honestly I hated it! But we lived off post in the ghetto. So that's mostly why. My advice is either live on post or 10+ minutes away. We lived literally 5 or else minutes from post, and it was ghetto all around. I now wish we would have decided to stay on post, that way I would have gotten out more!

Lol.. Ghetto. Where did you live? Downtown Killeen?

I lived in Terrace Heights apartment complex. Horrible bugs, our ceiling fell out, air never worked, management was slow and rude. Cops were there almost every night. It was just horrible.
