Good morning Ladies!

I have a huge dilemia. It is a long story, so I;m gonna try to condense it a little.

My DH deployed in 2010-2011. Upon coming back his CoC changed, for the worst!!

ISSUE #1  Anyways, in Septemober of this year he started complaning about his back hurting.  Went to his PCP and was given ibuprofen (the cure all?).  He was still in aggrevating pain, but continue to work.  In October, it was nearly impossible to walk, stand, sit, and generally get comfortable.  HIs was going to his PCP and still nothing.  One of the Sgt in his company, was able to go over the PCP and get his an appointment with a specialist, an orthopedic surgeon.  He was sent given a x-ray, narcs and relaxants.  The Orthopedic said his back was fractured and probably a MEB possibility.  He went for a MRI, and then a follow up.  The follow up was with another doctor and was told his back was not fractured.  He has been on profile for over 2 months now, no PT no standing no riding in a military vechile and on and on.  He was sent to physical therapy and pain managment.  Physical therapy gave him pool PT.  He wa told he could NOT do pool PT because there wasn't an NCO to escort him.  He has been going to Physical therapy, which is painful.  He is having issues with this urinary function, one doctor said could be something with his pain, like nerve damage or compression.  He is getting serious flack from his E7 and E8, they are complaining of him having too many appointents....DUH!!!!  they know that he hasn't been doing PT and told him if he doesn't pass height and weight, he's done.

Issue #2 This past week, on tuesday, my DH came home and said he was looking through Army regulations and it stated he couldn't (shouldn't) be tested for height and weight if he's passed in the past, which he did.  He took that to his E5, who agredd.  She showed it to the E6, how sent it to the E&, and on and on.  On wedesnday, he got called in and told he wasn't supposed to looking up regulations and why was he questioning them.  They also accused ME of calling the E8 to get gas money for my DH cause he was shuttling soldiers back and forth in his POV.  I NEVER CALLED and I never knew he was shullting anyone, so I wouldn't have called!!!!

What can he do?  I'm so mad that I got dragged into this crap.  there is honestly NO ONE I can complain to because obviously cmlaining and standing up to anyone is a huge NO NO!!

I'm sick of this.  Anyone have anything to say or help with?

I apparently didn't ask the questions I intended.

1.  Can a soldier look up regulations and bring them up?  Can(should) this be done without reprusions for asking questions?

2.  Is it common for doctors or PA's to have a totally different perspective on the same x-rays?  To go from broken back to nothing seemed extreme to me.

3.  Can my DH get in "trouble" for having appointments, these appointments are for Physical therapy and appointments related to his health.  Not mine, nor our children.

4.  As far as them bringing me into the mix and claiming I called to complain about gas money, do I just shut my mouth?

Also, for those saying I need to get on my DH's case, I did!

Get a copy of his MRI report, and his x-rays and seek a second opinion. Call Tricare to get a referral for off base.

He shouldn't be tested for height and weight if he's passed in the past?  That's odd...  People gain weight and if he's on profile, that's about all they *can* test him for...  Every 6 months...

My dh has been on profile for several months due to hip surgery.  He was still required to "test"... (tape)

As far as everything else - he can talk to patient advocacy and tell them what's going on and see what they can do for a second opinion...

Who actually refers to people by their pay grade?

Why doesn't he take a copy of his medical records in for his first line to see? Or go back to the dr for a second ( or third) opinion? He can look up all the regs he wants but he better be familiar with ALL regs if he's going to go toe to toe with his superiors...

I only refer to people by pay grade.  I'm a S10 (spouse 10), my children are C1-C4 and get promoted to C5 when they become teenagers.

Didn't think giving details would be a big deal. Thanks for the info!

Doesn't matter if hes passed height and weight prior. He can and will get taped again.
Depending on what his profile says he can be made to take a modified pt test.

FYI
You don't complain to anyone because you are just the spouse, not the SM.

There's a danger in looking into regulations...  That is, they change ALL THE TIME.  Most of the OLDER / OUTDATED regs are easy to find on the internet and other various places...  Something he should think about before showing the next "e5" something he's found...
