I know a few of the ladies here parent younger children on the spectrum, but are there any parents of older asd children in the group? Say, 9-18 age range?

My son will be 9 in July and he is on the spectrum as well. He has been diagnosed since he was 6.

My son is 17 and on the spectrum.  We are having a very difficult time with him and are worried for him since he will be eighteen in Sept. He also has other mental health issues which have become out of control.  Every day is a struggle....

Yes, my nephew takes strong uppers. I'm not sure the names and doses, but his condition is like super ADD. He calms down and is very focused while on them, when he comes down he crashes out:(

I'm looking for anyone with experience with resperidol or any antipsychotic meds.

I'm not a parent but with adults with severe and persistent mental illness .... Almost all of my clients are on anti psychotics, and resperidol is a "popular" one.... What's your question?

It's a very general one: on average, how does it affect behavior?
