So my DH is Deployed and he just got his orders. We are going to Alameda in San Franciso. But i dont think they have Lincoln Housing. I dont know a good site to look for places to rent. Does anyone know of a good real estate to call or good renting sites? Ive looked at a few but they are just too high on rent.
Out of curiosity, what branch is your Husband? I am assuming Navy but I could be wrong... I had family that lived in Alameda CA, and I visted quite a bit. Although I never actually lived there myself...I loved the area though, oh so much, it is pricey though!
Marine Corps, he says he will still be active duty and be at the comm shop with reservist. It does look nice just so shocked on how much places want for rent

I was surprised myself when you said Alameda CA because I was under the impression there was no longer active duty troops there. But ah, Marines, that would have been my second guess. It sure can be pricey.. I rememeber a two bedroom apartment was near 2000. Hopefully you will have good BAH though..

I have no cule, my Dh couldnt tell me much, guess he will tell me more when hes home from deployment. all i know is reserve poeple are there.

yea you're going to find that most the places in the city are stupid expensive. I grew up in the bay area. Alameda isn't too bad, but i would look for something outside the city if i where you. it will be cheaper and your less likley to end up in a bad area. for sure stay out of san fran.
