New to Marine bootcamp

Hello,

my son left for Marine bootcamp on 2/4.  It was the hardest and the most proudest day for me.  Never been away from him so this will be hard.  Especially knowing what he is going through and having no contact besides letters.  Once I find out what platoon he is in, is there a way on this site to find other mom's who have son's in the same one.

Yes, he has.  But since I am new to this adventure and to this site.  I'm not sure what I can expect with bootcamp and any advice is much appreciated.

My oldest just graduated AF basic on Friday and my dh went through Army basic 12.5 years ago. Don't expect a lot of communication from him, send letters, don't be needy.  He will be fine.
