Dh is getting out of the Navy within a month/2months. He failed his third PRT Friday. We aren't able to move back to NJ due to me being in nursing school, so I need a check list of things to get me settled in here (MS). I know we lose tricare, any idea how long of a time frame I have to hopefully at least get ds on medicaid? I've been actively looking for work for a month now, he of course still has to show up to work until he's process out but he is working on his resume and enrolled in college..

Can anyone just give me advice and a general idea of what to expect/prepare for?

Go to your family readiness center (or the Naval equivalent)...  They have tons of resources from helping him prepare a resume to job hunting for both of you.  They can also give you a heads up on what to expect...

Best wishes...
