My boyfriend is in the USAF and he got called out yesterday for an unexpected deployment. He wasn't supposed to leave until July. Im devastated and need advice on how to cope with this. This is my first experience with a significant other deploying. My father and friends had, but this is totally different. Please help.
My husband is in the field right now and I'm taking advantage of this time to myself by watching all of the crappy B movies that my husband hates lol.

Thats what I am trying to do. Guess its one step at a time, its the first 24 hours now. When I find out where he is and hopefully for how long it will ease my mind some. Also once he gets settled and we have our email routine etc, that shoud be easier. I think i just need some friends that I can talk to that understant and So i dont feel so alone. I know that I need to cherish every second him and I talk and boost his morale so he doesnt think i am going to fall apart and leave him.
i know what you are feeling..my Dh deployed oversea a week ago and he is going for a whole year and it is our first time since we have been together. Just like others said, keep busy, keep positive attitude and thank god for skype! We need to stick together for support! :) we could keep in touch ok?!
