We are moving to Kbay in April. Anyone in the area? Kids around age 5? Any home schooling mommas?
We've been here since July, so about 7 months. At first I was just really depressed from living in the hotel and not having any friends. But once we got our house and I started making friends, things have gotten better. I really like it here now. The weather is almost always great. You never have to drive very far for a beach. There's always something to do.

I'm at Schofield. Another part of the island but hi!
Welcome! We've been here for four years and are leaving in May, but we've loved Hawaii! There is so much to do! Lots of hiking, swimming and outdoor activities. Make sure to use any discounts you can get to make outings more affordable, and get a State ID so you can get the Kamaaina (local) discounts sometimes they are better then the military discounts. Explore and do as much as you can!
My kids are 5 and 7 and one attends private school and the other is in kindergarten but young so she will repeat when we move, but she needed some additional speech services that we couldnt get through private school so public is what we did for the year.
