If you were already married to your husband when he joined... When you went to watch them get sworn in what did you wear? I bought a dress (nothing super fancy, and I'm wearing it with leggings, boots that don't have a heel, and a cardigan because its cooold) but I was just wondering if you ladies dressed up or noticed a lot of women that did? I don't want to look out of place lol

Thanks!

***Update***

I'm so proud of my husband, just wanted to share these from today :)

I didn't go to MEPS with my husband to see him swear in. I didn't realize anyone else did...

I wasn't married to my husband when he joined(19 years ago).

So here is a bump!

I wasn't allowed to go to see my hubby sworn in, which I thought was odd, because I got to go see my brother sworn in. :/ but for my brothers I wore a simple skirt and nice shirt. (it was summer time when he was sworn in)

Yeah, no...  He got on a bus and that was it.  I didn't see him swear in.  I did see him for several re-enlistments though.  Business casual is fine.

I was already in when I met my husband.
No one wore anything dressy when I swore in. Not even the families of other people.

I've never been to a swear in but I would think a casual type dress would be fine.

I was wearing a summer dress and cardigan with flats (a lot of standing around and waiting so I don't recommend heels).  I was more dressed up then most--there were very few wives/gfs, it was mostly parents and none of them were dressed up.  It didn't phase me to be the most dressed up though, because back then, that was as casual as I got (I was a professional, so I mostly wore suits and heels every day).
